Thanksgiving!

I have a bunch of things to be thankful for today.

The first I'd like to mention that I averaged 31mpg getting to and from my destination today.
I got to drive about 300 miles total today and it only cost me a little over twenty dollars.

So, I went to Milford, CT today. I spent thanksgiving with fantastic company, boardgames and a really great thanksgiving dinner. I saw the Atlantic ocean again, this time from CT. Overall I had a really great time. Also, I avoided car accidents with two New England drivers who weren't paying attention. I'd say it was a great day. Oh, and here is part of CT in an bracketed HDR image.

New(er) car - This one is perfect.

The 1993 BMW 525i - My new car.

$3200

I have just two words to say about it.

"Heated Seats"

No, I have more to say about it, but that is the feature I value the most when I step outside and its 17 degrees, especially knowing that its only going to get colder.

Its front engine, rear wheel drive. It has a 2.5L 6 cylinder engine, which is not the original engine, it was replaced with one that has 20 more horsepower and is far better on gas. Its got traction control and 4 channel anti-lock brakes. It will be a great car for when the snow hits the ground.

The only thing, and this is one thing... that is wrong with it.. I'm missing a fog lamp.. but that is not a big deal, I have 4 head lamps and don't even know how to use a fog lamp. (i'll probably still buy one).

I am really happy with this car. I'll take some pictures of the engine compartment soon. its one of the cleanest I've seen in a while. The engine has 80,000 miles on it and the body has 160,000 miles on it.

So comfortable. So nice. Handles so well. This is why the autobahn doesn't have speed limits, because cars like this come from there. But its not like a sports car, it doesn't cry to be driven quickly. There isn't a difference in driving it quickly; everything just feels like you're floating on a cloud. Its so smooth and relaxing. How did I live so long without one of these?

WebSite

Still busy, but my website is up and functioning. I'm still putting content in it as well as working out the buggs. It may not be very elaborate, but I like it, I think that its simple and elegant.

I'm terribly sorry, but thats all I have for now!

Interesting shoots in pitch black.

To start off, here is a picture of me drinking diet coke.

But that was in a well lit room. The title of this post is about the shots I took with the inability to see what was going to come out. (that made focusing fun).

One of them is for a "self portrait" portion of out "final assignment" but I will have to reshoot it.. its out of focus.
This shot was taken in the black of night, on a bridge, in a forest, deep in the middle of.. well, I have no idea really... here it is:

The other is for... breaking-up repeating lines and its part of the same final assignment. Now before you scroll down, the model is fully clothed in tights and a tight t-shirt. Posing was interesting because it was me saying "act like you're doing tai chi" and I couldn't say "no more like this," because well.. I couldn't see anything.. it was pitch black and she was behind a curtain. Bra and Jeans were brought for props. It was inspired by Lois Greenfield. Here it is:

and last off is a picture I took for another assignment, which was suppose to be a profile shot lit exactly how this one is, but I decided that was boring and so I raided the prop room in search of this mirror.

I hope that I will still have enough time to keep posting, This is really only a fraction of the images that I've been taking. I would like to post some of the film stuff we've been doing, but they haven't let us use the film scanners yet.
